A European platform
In Innosport EU, an information exchange and coordination platform is created. It is a web-based data-platform that offers services, such as a information center, discussion forum, facilities for business creation and acceleration and brokerage events. A European Sports Research Area is created as part of this platform in order to cluster and target research and innovation in Sports within Europe. This will promote a shift in the paradigms towards a knowledge-based sector.
Coordinated research
To ensure a market driven research and development, a long term vision for innovation, based on sports needs, will be set for the branch. A roadmap will be made, defining the steps that need to be taken in research and development in order to realise these innovations. This will result in a research agenda for the next 5 years, in which research issues are focussed and prioritised and chances for new business are identified.
Business creation
Innosport aims to enhance the succes of innovations in sports in the future by identifying learning lessons from the experience of research projects.
