Public Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for Entrepreneurship and Foreign Investments (SI)
PAEFI was established by the Government of the Republic of Slovenia in 1992 with an aim to co-ordinate the Small Business Support Network and entrepreneurship promotion programmes.
The mission of PAEFI is to enhance the establishment of entrepreneurship development supporting environment in Slovenia and to accelerate the development of entrepreneurial culture.
PAEFI is a coordinator of the Small Business Support Network and other SME supporting institutions on:
- national,
- regional and
- local level.
PAEFI co-ordinates their entrepreneurial initiatives and communicates them further, via Small Business Support Network and the Network of Local Business Centres of Slovenia (LBC), to the users – target groups: micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
PAEFI tasks base on the assumption that a successful development of entrepreneurs requires:
- access to information and advisory services,
- market access,
- access to efficient co-workers,
- access to different modes of financing,
- access to appropriate premises,
- shorter administrative and other procedures necessary for the establishment and expansion of business.
PAEFI carries out several important projects of promoting entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial culture in Slovenia and at the international level in a close cooperation with partners and its networks. The projects and activities are implemented in the following fields:
- Development of business support services for micro, small and medium enterprises
- Development of entrepreneurial supporting environment
- Development of entrepreneurial culture
- Coordination of the eic network and strengthening the quality of services for internationalization of SMEs
